Dark money is credited with influencing the outcome of a number of Arizona races in the past couple of election cycles — from governor to the Corporation Commission.
And for a while, the Twitter account @azdarkmoneybot kept track of dark-money groups letting the Secretary of State’s Office know about their spending. But @azdarkmoneybot has been unplugged, at least temporarily.
We spoke with one of its creators: Evan Wyloge of the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting.
