Refugee Struggles In US, Considers Returning To Liberia

Thousands of refugees migrate to the United States every year, fleeing war zones around the world.

America offers hope and opportunity for many, but adjusting to a new country with a different culture, language and customs is often more complicated than many expect.

Some refugees actually opt to return to their home countries, despite the dangers.

Fatuma Kortee fled war-torn Liberia as a 14-year-old. Now after 12 years in the United States, she says she wants to return.

This feeling is more common than many realize, according to Henrietta Andersson of the Liberian Association of Arizona.
