Arizona public schools will be starting the spring semester with more than 8,300 open teaching positions, according to new survey results from the Arizona School Personnel Administrators Association.
That’s up slightly from the start of the Fall semester.
As of late November, the roughly 160 participating Arizona districts and charter schools also reported that, among teaching positions that are filled, 876 of them are taken by staff who are pending certification.
