British Airways Adding Flights, American Lessening Role At Sky Harbor

Sky Harbor officials announced last week that British Airways would be adding a second flight from Phoenix to London three days a week in May and June.

At the same time, though, there have been reports of American Airlines lessening its role at Sky Harbor. We wanted to get a sense of where the airport stands nationally. To help with that, we talk to Seth Kaplan, an airline industry analyst and managing partner of "Airline Weekly."

Kaplan discusses what is the perception of Sky Harbor, within the industry but outside of Arizona. He also talked about how some of what Sky Harbor is trying to do is out of its direct control.

For more than that, we talk to Deborah Ostreicher, Phoenix’s assistant aviation director. She answers if she agrees with that assessment.

If people have questions, they can email [email protected].
