Tucson-Based Program Aims To Preserve Crops, Culture Behind Seeds

Seed banking can involve more than just the seeds themselves.

A program initiated by the Tucson-based Native Seeds/SEARCH aims to preserve not just crops, but the culture behind them.

For more on the Cultural Memory Bank project, I’m joined by Melissa Kruse-Peeples, the group’s Education Coordinator. Kruse-Peeples, talking about trying to explore, create and preserve the link between cultures and their crops, discusses what some of those links are.
