Two thousand sixteen was a really tough year for many people. So as 2017 gets under way, we wanted to take a minute to celebrate a few things we loved from last year, in a series called “My Favorite Things.”
We spoke with local storyteller Rachel Egboro who runs a storytelling show called The Storyline, and she also has a new project called The Whole Story, which is specifically for members of the Black community to tell some of their stories. The Whole Story premieres Friday night at Phoenix Art Museum.
Eboro spoke about how the Phoenix storytelling community has grown so much in recent years, as well as sharing some of her favorite stories from 2016.
We’ll be wrapping up “My Favorite Things” with one more installment later this week.
