Is Phoenix A Food Town? Dining Critic, Food Journalist Offer Perspectives

Phoenix is not a food town. That’s not my opinion — that’s the headline of an article in Phoenix New Times. And the rest of the headline asks if Phoenix will ever be a food town.

In the piece, dining critic Patricia Escarcega talks to food writers, chefs and others about the city’s food scene. She defines what is or isn't a food town.

For another perspective on the Valley’s cuisine culture, I’m joined by Gwen Ashley Walters. She’s a long-time food journalist and is currently covering Scottsdale dining news for The Arizona Republic.
