Terros Health CEO Talks About Current State Of Opioid Addiction

Monday’s State of the State address included Governor Doug Ducey touching on drug abuse and addiction. Ducey issued a new executive order to ensure that inmates facing addiction could enter a pilot program and be treated with Vivitrol before leaving prison.

His administration says the executive order is intended to decrease recidivism and give inmates another chance to have a healthy life.

The governor also sent a letter to the Arizona Medical Board and the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners on Monday morning requiring all physicians in Arizona to complete Continuing Education in drug addiction.

To learn more about the current state of opioid addiction, we spoke with Peggy Chase, CEO of Terros Health.
