Leaders Urge Congress To Reprioritize Food Aid, School Meal Programs

The depths of the Great Recession found thousands of new people in need of assistance, struggling to provide enough food for families.

Though the last couple of years have seen that situation generally improve, food banks and related organizations are still working harder than communities would hope.

Now, some leaders are calling for Congress to reprioritize food assistance and school meal programs.

One of those is Angie Rodgers, president and CEO of the Association of Arizona Food Banks.
