It may seem like the last election is just behind us, but some Valley voters will be going to the polls again as early as February.
Nearly 58,000 have registered to vote since the last count before the election. Arizona’s Secretary of State Office announced Tuesday that more than 3.6 million residents are registered to vote.
Republicans account for almost 35 percent of voters, outnumbering Democrats and those who did not indicate a party preference. The smallest sliver, less than 1 percent, are registered as Libertarian or Green Party members.
Some Phoenix residents will vote to elect a new City Council member in District 3 on March 14. Early voting for that race will start in February.
