The city of Flagstaff is expected to wake up to 3 feet of snow Tuesday. Skies are expected to clear Tuesday, but the National Weather Service said temperatures will stay below freezing.

Three separate storms have dumped more than 3 feet of snow on the mountain community since Thursday.

Flagstaff public-school kids and teachers celebrated their third snow day in a row Tuesday. Many businesses and city services, including trash pickup, shut down Monday. Even Northern Arizona University closed early Monday, which is rare.

The heavy snow and strong winds didn’t keep women from marching Saturday for equal rights. Police estimated as many as 2,000 people walked downtown for the event.
