Democracy In Color Hosts DNC Chair Candidates

As Democrats nationally continue working to find out what went wrong on Election Day, party members are hearing from the seven candidates to be the next Democratic National Committee chair.

Some analysts say the party needs to re-attract middle-class White voters, while others are firm in their belief that young people of color can’t be taken for granted and must be courted.

It’s in that environment that the group Democracy in Color hosted the DNC chair candidates on Monday night in a forum focused on voters of color.

To learn more, we spoke with Aimee Allison, co-director of Democracy in Color.
