Tempe-based Amtech Systems closed the trading day up Tuesday, after announcing new solar equipment orders topping $60 million, more than five times the orders during the previous quarter.
Amtech is a global equipment supplier for solar, semiconductor and LED markets.
New bookings include customers in China, Malaysia, and Taiwan and come at a time when the U.S. renewable energy sector is cautious of President Trump’s focus on oil and gas development.
