Last fall’s presidential campaign, the outcome of the election and the early stages of the Trump administration have indicated some deep faults in how Americans feel about our democracy.
The just-issued 2016 Democracy Index by The Economist Intelligence Unit quantifies that by moving the United States down a notch from “full democracy” to a “flawed democracy.”
