Developer Plans New High-Rise Apartments In Downtown Tempe

New high-rise apartments are coming to downtown Tempe. A developer has bought two pieces of land near ASU — on the southwestern corner of Seventh Street and Myrtle Avenue, and the southeastern corner of Seventh Street and Mill Avenue — and plans to turn at least one of them into a high-rise.

The area has been changing over the past several years, and with me to talk about how these new projects fit in around Mill Avenue is Steve LaTerra, managing director of Myers Research and chair of the Urban Land Institute of Arizona.

LaTerra discusses what he makes of these projects, which are in a pretty iconic part of the Valley.
