Job website Career Builder is out with its latest analysis of employment trends. Among the findings, highly-sought-after millennials are leaving one Arizona city in big numbers.
Age data for the largest 100 U.S. cities were pulled covering workers age 22 to 34 years old and over 55 to track where they’ve been moving and working over the last 15 years.
The survey tracked workers to show which cities are growing oldest, fastest or growing younger. Not surprising, a city in Florida topped the list for attracting workers age 55 and older.
Madison, Wis., has attracted the most millennials. And in Tucson, the study showed, millennials have been leaving since 2011. Survey research said 22- to 34-year-olds are looking for diverse economies, strong technology presence and an affordable cost of living, and are willing to leave larger metro markets to find those things.
