Arizona Senate Approves Ban Of License Plate Covers

The Arizona Senate has voted for a law that would ban license plate covers typically used to prevent photo enforcement cameras from capturing an image of the plate.

Democrat Steve Farley said his license plate cover bill isn't just about photo enforcement.

"In low angle sunlight, like if you are driving in from the East Valley in the morning time, it’s very hard to see that plate and law enforcement has said that’s an increasing problem," Farley said.

Farley said it makes no sense to require a license plate and then allow covers that can make them difficult if not impossible to read.
