What Do Refugees Go Through Before Coming To US?

Since President Donald Trump signed his executive order temporarily banning refugees from seven mostly-Muslim countries, there have been a lot of questions about how these refugees are vetted, and if more thorough vetting will help keep our country safe from terrorist attacks.

To find out more about what refugees go through before they come to the United States, we talked to David Androff, an associate professor in ASU’s School of Social Work who has worked for five years with a team of social workers to assist refugees in Arizona.
