Bill Expands In-State Tuition To Family Members Of Veterans Killed In Duty

Another education bill is on the move to help Arizona veterans and their families.

The House bill expands in-state tuition status to family members of veterans killed in the line of duty since 9/11.

Currently, in-state rates are reserved for vets attending college on the post-9/11 G.I. benefits program.

If passed, this bill would expand the status to students transferring into Arizona while still serving active duty. It would also automatically include vets already approved for a Marine Gunnery Sgt. John David Fry scholarship.

The bill moved effortlessly through House committees and is waiting for approval in the full House and Senate.
