U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly made their first visit to Mexico this week.
On the agenda for the two-day trip border security, law enforcement and trade. They also set to meet with President Enrique Pena Nieto and other Cabinet-level officials.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries are in a delicate state. Polls show that most Mexicans are wary of President Donald Trump’s future policies toward their country. Many are calling on their leaders to cancel trade negotiations with the United States as long as Trump promises to build a wall and force Mexico to pay for it.
