Oscars Likely To Be More Overt, Directed Toward Trump Administration

The 89th-annual Academy Awards are coming up this Sunday, and people will be watching for the winners, the fashion and, of course, the politics.

Kristin Page-Kirby wrote a column about all of the political drama likely to hit this year’s Oscars for the Washington Post Express, and The Show’s Lauren Gilger spoke with her more about all of this.

After last year’s Oscars So White controversy over the lack of diversity in the Academy Awards, what can we expect this year?

According to Page-Kirby, this year is likely going to be even more overt, in that we will likely hear a lot of statements specifically directed toward the Trump administration.
