Relationships between youth athletes and their coaches can set a very early tone for whether those young people go onto to greater things in sports, or even life.
But what kind of approach works? What kind of atmosphere is most effective?
Eric Legg, assistant professor in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University, has worked with the Paradise Valley School District and the Cottonwood Parks and Recreation Department to learn more about the effects of coaching on younger athletes who are playing youth level sports.
