The Higher Learning Commission has lifted its sanctions against Pima Community College.
The college has been under sanction since 2013 due to concerns the school was not adequately meeting standards for curriculum, governance and management.
The move to lift the sanctions comes after a working group from the HLC determined during a site visit last Fall that enough improvements had been made.
While Pima Community College did retain its full accreditation through the four year process, its official status will change from “accredited — on notice” to “accredited.”
