Arizona Wildflower Season Shaping Up To Be A Good One

It’s wildflower season and several parts of the state are in bloom. There are even a few surprise blooms popping up in some areas.

Wildflower season is so far shaping up to be a good one thanks to the rain we got, and barring any spike in temperatures, like last year, sightseers should see an array of pretty flowers.

Glenn Schlottman is with the Arizona State Parks. He says besides seeing wildflowers where you’d expect to see them, "the west side over on the Colorado River got some good rains this year. And we’re anticipating and already seeing some nice blooms at Cattail Cove State Park, along Lake Havasu there and down into Parker,"

Wildflowers are blooming at Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Catalina, Lost Dutchman and Picacho Peak State Parks.
