Phoenix Historic Neighborhoods In Court Over FAA Flight Paths

The city of Phoenix, and a group of historic central Phoenix neighborhoods, were in court Friday morning in Washington, D.C. They’ve sued the Federal Aviation Administration over changes to flight paths at Sky Harbor.

The agency changed the routes in 2014, as part of a national program, but the neighborhoods say those new routes are causing problems, including noise.

Former Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard represents the neighborhoods, and he joins me.

Oral arguments in the case wrapped up a little while ago.

Steve Dreiseszun lives in the FQ Story Historic District in Phoenix and was in court earlier today.
