This Friday marks the last day for bills to be heard in legislative committees. There are exceptions, but in general, if a bill’s going to continue moving through the process, it needs a hearing this week.
So, lawmakers clearly have a lot to do this week, but even with all of the bills up for debate, a lot of the talk at the Capitol has nothing to do with pending legislation.
