Sesame Workshop is working on a new initiative "Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing In All Children."

Generations of young people have had their education supplemented by watching "Sesame Street" and have enjoyed learning from Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster — among many others.

As part of that, Sesame Street is introducing Julia, its first autistic character. We spoke with Stacey Gordon, the Phoenix-based puppeteer behind Julia.
