Maricopa County GOP: Interest Holding Steady Since Election

On Tuesday, we heard from two officials with the Maricopa County Democratic Party, who are reporting dramatic increases in the number of people showing up at events.

Steven Slugocki, the county party’s chairman, said meetings that used to draw 20 people are now getting more than 150.

"We’re getting people that are involved for the first time ever, that they want to make a difference," Slugocki said. "They don’t like what’s happening, the direction that we’re going and they want to get involved to make a difference."

So has that also been the case at the Maricopa County Republican Party?

To find out, we’ve called Chris Herring, the county GOP chair.
