The Phoenix Pride Parade and festival is this weekend. More than 2,000 people from the LGBTQ community and allies will be marching down Third Street on Sunday, celebrating how far their community has come.
For a closer look, I’m joined by one of the parade’s dedicated volunteers. Jimmy Thomason is an employee relations consultant at Bank of America, the parade’s sponsor this year.
He won the 2016 Phoenix Pride Parade Community Volunteer Award, and he’s organized 600 people from Bank of America this year to come out to the parade Sunday.
