Facebook is making it easier for users to contact their elected representatives.

The company’s new Town Hall tool will allow constituents to keep track of their elected officials; it will also allow them to contact their reps with a single click.

But is that the most effective way to get in touch?

Emily Ellsworth is a former congressional staffer and is behind the website callthehallsguide.com, which offers advice on the best ways for constituents to contact their members of Congress.

From a staffer’s perspective, if you’re working in a congressional office, what kind of communication from a constituent is most likely to get attention and potentially a response?
