Attorney General Jeff Sessions will tour the Arizona border Tuesday, then meet with law enforcement in Phoenix and air force service members at Luke Air Force Base.
The attorney general is scheduled to speak at the Nogales port of entry Tuesday morning.
The new attorney general has pushed for a greater role in immigration enforcement.
In late March, Sessions expanded a program designed to speed up the deportation of people convicted of crimes after they completed their prison sentences.
