You can deny it all you want, but Tax Day is fast approaching. Taxes are due this year next Tuesday, April 18.
Bill Brunson with the IRS in Phoenix says each year, more and more Arizona residents are opting to file their taxes electronically.
“Eighty-seven percent of estimated 3 million that will submit a return this year are going to choose to electronically file. So that’s a considerable number of Arizonan’s that will be electronically filing,” Brunson said.
Brunson says that many taxpayers can file electronically for free on the IRS website.
If you have your taxes done by a specified tax return preparers, they are required by law to file your taxes electronically.
