Arizona’s next statewide Election Day isn’t until November of 2018, but this week has become a big one for a couple of Democrats deciding to challenge a pair of Republican incumbents.
Attorney Deedra Abboud announced on Monday that she’s going for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination and the opportunity to go against Sen. Jeff Flake. And former Superintendent of Public Instruction nominee David Garcia, who fell to Diane Douglas in 2014, wants a chance to take on Gov. Doug Ducey.
