It’s being called an art-world coup. The Heard Museum in Phoenix recently landed an exhibition of paintings, clothing and photographs of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. It’s the only North American showing of this exhibit and it ended up at the Heard.
It’s not the kind of show you might assume the Heard Museum would have — the museum is known for its traditional and contemporary Native American Art.
We got a tour from Janet Cantley, coordinating curator of the new exhibit, on its opening day this week.
