Record-Breaking Snowfall Extends Snowbowl Season

Record-breaking snowfall this winter means those who want to hit the slopes at Arizona Snowbowl now have until May 7.

Winter storms brought 328 inches to the area. That was a similar scene at many ski resorts across the West.

In Colorado, the Purgatory ski resort received more than 260 inches of snow, and slopes will remain open through the end of this month.

But for those wanting to ski further into the summer, Lake Tahoe got more than 700 inches of snow and will keep some of their slopes open into July.
