Arizona Buildings Recognized By U.S. Green Building Council

The U.S. Green Building Council of Arizona last week handed out its annual awards for people behind LEED-certified buildings.

That stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and generally refers to buildings that incorporate environmentally-friendly materials and building practices.

And many of the buildings that won the awards in Arizona this year are on college campuses.

Patti Mason is the Mountain West regional director for the U.S. Green Building Council. She was in town for the awards ceremony last week and stopped by KJZZ.
