The Sawmill Fire has burned 18,000 acres south of Tucson since Sunday.

The Sawmill Fire in southern Arizona has more than doubled in size since Monday.

About 120 people have been evacuated after the blaze began Sunday morning. More than 300 fire personnel are battling the wildfire.

The Sawmill Fire started about 10 miles southeast of Green Valley and has burned about 18,000 acres.

That’s up from 7,500 acres Monday afternoon — the fire is still only 7 percent contained.

Fire officials say the flames are wind-driven, burning tall grasses, brush and pinyon-juniper trees. They expect the wildfire to keep spreading.
