A few years ago, a resident of a small, rural Alabama town reached out to a reporter and asked him to look into wrongdoing and corruption in that town — namely, a murder this resident alleged had taken place.
But the story unfolds far beyond that investigation, and the twists and turns became the seven-episode podcast, "S-Town."
