Pima County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to further limit how a driver can use a cellphone while driving.

If you drive anywhere in Pima County, starting June 1, you are now banned from using a cellphone while driving unless you are using a hands-free device like Bluetooth.

That means no texting, talking or tweeting directly from a phone behind the wheel.

The so-called hands-free ordinance does have exemptions — for example, law enforcement and emergency responders using it for work, using a cellphone to report an emergency, and if being used on private property.
