Critic Of Charter School Loan Guarantees Considering Lawsuit

Arizona has awarded two loan guarantees to the private operators of charter schools, which are considered public schools.

Last year, lawmakers agreed to set aside $100 million to help privately-run charters get lower interest rates when they borrow money.

But the arrangement has drawn some criticism.

Tim Hogan is one of those critics. He’s the executive director for the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, and he joins me.
