Here’s the good news: in the last five years, high school graduation rates have increased in almost every state.
But in some areas, there’s a long way to go. Rates remain especially low for certain subgroups of students, like those with disabilities or those learning English as a second language.
These findings are out in a report today from Civic Enterprises and Johns Hopkins University. Lead author of the report Jennifer DePaoli of Civic Enterprises joins us now.
