The process of getting through customs in Phoenix is becoming more digital for U.S and Canadian citizens. Sky Harbor has become the latest airport to use the Mobile Passport app from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The app works by allowing passengers to electronically submit their answers to inspection related questions rather than using the traditional paper form.
Officials with CBP say the move is part of a larger effort to make the arrival process more efficient with the goal of safely reducing wait times.
The Mobile Passport app is currently accepted at 21 airports around the country.
