Firefighters are slowly gaining control of the Mulberry Fire near Vail, Arizona. The fire has burned just over 1700 acres.

Fire spokeswoman Tiffany Davila said they’ve started releasing some fire personnel.

An evacuation notice previously issued for homes in the area was lifted Sunday.

About 200 firefighters were on site as of Monday morning.

The fire is believed to be human caused and is under investigation.
