Despite Wet Winter, Arizona Remains In Drought

This winter was wetter than previous ones, but was it enough to overcome years of drought in Arizona?

That was one of the issues the Governor’s Drought Interagency Coordinating Group took up at its meeting earlier this week.

The group includes representatives from federal, state and regional agencies, universities and water managers.

With me to talk about those discussions is Charlie Ester, Salt River Project’s manager of Surface Water Resources.
