Homeland security officials are reportedly considering expanding the ban on laptops on board certain flights.
In March, the United States banned passengers from carrying their laptops onto flights originating from ten airports, in countries including Saudi Arabia and Turkey, citing security concerns.
Richard Bloom, director of terrorism, intelligence and security studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, explained the specific concerns about having laptops and large electronics on board aircrafts.
