Season tickets for ASU Gammage went on sale Monday and quickly sold out.
It was a stressful buying experience for many people looking to make a purchase. An error page often popped up when logging onto the Gammage website as musical theater fans raced to make their purchase.
Popular Tony-winning shows are part of the season package, including the smash-hit musical "Hamilton."
For months, officials at Gammage have said the best way to guarantee tickets to see Hamilton was to get the season ticket package. And people took that advice to heart.
"We’ve certainly had a deluge of traffic this morning on asugammage.com and on our Ticketmaster season ticket portal. When a major event like season tickets for ASU Gammage go on sale, some slowdowns and delays are to be expected," Ia representative said in a statement.
Season tickets sold out in just over 90 minutes. But, those still interested in getting tickets can sign up to get on a wait list.
The release of single show tickets is still yet to be determined.
