Pioneer Park in Mesa is closing for the next several months. The park is getting an upgrade to provide updated amenities while preserving and improving the historic assets.
Funding for the Pioneer Park improvements is from the 2012 Parks Bond approved by Mesa voters.
Park improvements will include a new water play area, ADA upgrades to the existing restrooms and WiFi.
The city hopes to fully reopen the park by Thanksgiving.
