How Far Will Money For Rural Roads Go?

Rural counties will get $30 million in the upcoming fiscal year for road maintenance and construction — that amount was included in the state budget lawmakers approved earlier this month.

And it follows years of money earmarked for roads being swept for other purposes.

To find out how far the money allocated this year might go, we called Byron Jaspers. He’s the public works director for Yavapai County.
