Downtown Phoenix’s skyline is about to change.
Developers who are revamping the Arizona Center just announced plans to build a new 31-story residential tower on the lawn in the middle of the center.
It will include 350 units and become one of the tallest buildings in the city, according to Meagan Ehlenz, who studies urban planning at Arizona State University.
There is a planned $25 million renovation of the aging Arizona Center already underway that’s aiming to turn the 1990s retail center into a modern, mixed-use development.
But, what does this mean for downtown Phoenix? I spoke with Ehlenz more about this.
