Mesa Fiesta Mall Getting New Look, New Name

Fiesta Mall will no longer be called Fiesta Mall. The former Mesa shopping center will get getting a new look and a new name. Construction at Campus at U.S. 60 is set to begin early 2018.

Ray Cashen is with Cashen Realty Advisors. His firm brokered the deal and they’re already in the process of securing tenants to occupy what he says will be the largest adaptive-reuse project in Phoenix.

The mall is going to be repurposed to be a primarily higher-education facility with additional users that would fall under health-care category and then there will be an office component.

Cashen says there will also be retail and restaurants to support the student and employee populations.

Adaptive reuse is happening in another part of the Valley as well. Metro Center Mall in northwest Phoenix was rezoned for office, medical and residential use.
